Remote Deposit Capture
We have a Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) program that handles the processing of the back office activities that your business needs to ensure that funds are available when customers deposit their business checks, personal checks or money orders. Our program has taken advantage of the latest technology available via the Internet to give customers the ability to deposit checks without the requirement of depositing the paper check. They can use a computer and a check imager to accomplish the task.
The RDC process is available well after the normal banking hours end. Instead of having to visit a physical bank location by 4 p.m. or 5 p.m., customers have until 8:00 p.m. to make their transaction using the RDC solution. This helps to speed up the amount of time required before funds are available. Within the span of 24 to 48 hours, funds become available to the customer.
Courtesy and Legal Amount Recognition (CAR/LAR) is the technology that makes all of this possible. When a customer makes a deposit, this new technology can fill in the dollar amount and help to reduce customer errors. The technology has been a tremendous reason that data entry errors have been drastically reduced. If problems arise with the check such as poor image quality or if a customer tries to submit a check that has already been scanned, then the system with automatically alert the financial institution.
Our Remote Deposit Capture program is versatile because it has the capability to allow additional information to be entered to the scanned check. Since the information is stored online, the amount of work normally done in the back office process is greatly reduced. The system also can interface with various accounts receivable software such as Quickbooks, Peachtree and other packages.
